Treotham Automation introduces a new solution from igus for reliable
connector protection.
Developed by German company igus for sensitive standard USB connectors
in industrial applications, the Conprotect solution ensures quick and easy
assembly without tools, and prevents inadvertent unplugging, while protecting against
mechanical loads.
To provide even better protection for USB connectors in industrial
environments, Conprotect also has a protective enclosure that can be easily
clipped around the connectors in a few steps. Inadvertent unplugging is
prevented with two knurled screws giving the connection added reliability. The rugged
and protective enclosure for connectors can also be used with a coupling for
flying connections.
Assembly is simplified with the lids of Conprotect made from identical
parts that fully enclose the connector, and the screws simply clipped-in thereafter.
Conprotect can also be retrofitted on existing connections.
