The prestigious Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (CYCA) at Sydney’s Rushcutters Bay installed folding closure doors from The Australian Trellis Door Company (ATDC) to secure their members’ bar.

One of Australia's leading yacht clubs, the CYCA is a leader in ocean racing and best known as the host of the world famous annual Sydney to Hobart yacht race.

Renowned architectural firm Allen Jack + Cottier (AJ + C) specified ATDC’s 300mm wide panel bar closure doors in a black powder-coated finish for the yacht club. Given that the bar served both alcohol and food, a fully perforated mesh infill was specified for the door curtain to ensure ventilation.

ATDC’s up/down locking mechanisms assisted in achieving seamless lock up for the customer, and also allowed them to gain entry into the bar area without opening up the entire door.

St Leonards-based Belmadar Constructions served as the project manager for the job.
