BWS (Beer Wine & Spirits), an Australian chain of liquor stores has selected The Australian Trellis Door Company (ATDC) as their preferred supplier of portable fencing nationwide. Owned by Woolworths’ Endeavour Drinks, which also owns Dan Murphy’s, Cellar Masters and Pinnacle Liquor, BWS is Australia’s largest retailer of liquor with well over 1400 stores across the country.

ATDC’s portable fencing is being installed in various applications across BWS’ store chain. The portable fencing is being used as shopfront door closures inside shopping centres and also as store dividers within Woolworths’ supermarkets to separate BWS stores from the supermarket area. The store divider application addresses a requirement of prescriptive liquor licencing laws, which vary from state to state.

ATDC recently installed a portable fencing system at a new BWS store in Chadstone, Victoria. The fencing systems have a standard height of 2020mm and are mobile and freestanding in design, requiring no headroom while their width is unlimited due to the semi-modular design. Manufactured from precision engineered steel sections, the fencing comes with wall mounted and floor mounted locking options, has a compact and stable design, and runs easily on a series of heavy duty 75mm rubber non marking bottom wheels.

ATDC’s portable fencing systems are also being installed across the liquor display aisles in Woolworths Metro stores as a loss prevention tool to deter theft of alcohol. ATDC’s double diamond mesh portable fencing systems are being utilised in these applications; the door mesh is interwoven very tightly with the resulting reduced pitch between the crosslinks making it more difficult for potential thieves to reach through these barriers.

ATDC’s precision engineered portable fencing is also being used by many other blue chip corporates across Australia including at Coles Supermarkets and Liquorland stores.

ATDC’s portable fencing also finds application in securing pop-up stores, kiosks and various temporary retail tenancies; providing access control for shopping centres and public buildings; and ensuring safety in Worksafe applications such as building sites, sports stadiums, public events, bonded warehouses, factories and loading docks.

ATDC’s portable fencing is sold in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Canberra as well as in regional centres across the country including Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Newcastle, Wollongong, Geelong, Townsville, Hobart and Cairns. ATDC’s portable barriers are also being successfully exported to Singapore, Vietnam, Hong Kong and throughout Southeast Asia as well as the Pacific Islands.
