A formidable security door from The Australian Trellis Door Company (ATDC) has been installed at one of the main entries to the Bunnings store in Inglewood, Perth as a deterrent for potential breaking-and-entry incidents. Bunnings is Australia’s largest home hardware chain, owned by Wesfarmers Limited and employing over 40,000 staff members.

ATDC recently installed its S06 heavy duty security door at the Bunnings Inglewood store on behalf of Subiaco Building Company, the project manager for the job. The S06 model security door was specified by the Bunnings Head Office in Perth, being the only trellis security door on the Australian market that complied with Australian Standard 5039 for Sliding Security Doors.

The S06 model security door was also chosen for the application as it could be folded completely out of the way during trading hours so as not to obstruct any merchandise. When closed and locked at night, the door provides a very high level of security with features including a security rated 5-pin cylinder and triple contact lock with anti-jemmy protection.

ATDC’s S06 doors are addressing the security needs of Bunnings and many other Perth businesses by providing the required level of protection expected by many insurance companies.

Key features of ATDC’s S06 heavy duty security doors also include locking options such as up/down keyturn shootbolt locking for a seamless effect; keyless egress option in the event of emergency situations such as fire under the deemed provisions of the Building Code of Australia; and galvanised and powder-coated in a black or white finish as standard with other colour options on request.

ATDC has supplied the security door at Bunnings stores in a red powder-coated finish to match their corporate colours.

ATDC’s security door is available Australia-wide including Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, Canberra and Darwin as well as all regional towns.
