Swedish cutting edge design company Bolon has introduced a new flooring collection called Silence.

Bolon’s Creative Director Marie Eklund explains that their new collection, Silence is inspired by the nature in Sweden, historical textiles as well as classic, traditional wooden parquet patterns.

The Silence collection also showcases the flooring’s unique ability to create 3D effects and reflect light, allowing the floor to have a totally different appearance, depending on the direction of the light.

Silence also reaffirms the company’s continuing commitment to environmental innovation as the flooring is 100% free of the softening agent phthalate.

Observing how the timeless aesthetic and pragmatic features of the Silence collection make it a standout choice, she adds that the flooring offers almost unlimited potential for architects and designers when creating exciting interiors for offices, hotels, retail premises and many other environments.

The Silence flooring collection will be available in sheets, tiles and planks as standard. The entire collection offers the same high ratings for wear and tear and fire-resistance, and comes with the same long guarantees as every other Bolon collection.

Bolon will also offer flooring tiles from the Silence collection with a new, sound absorbing 19dB backing later in 2014.
