Wilson Lift Crane Hire Australia added a Terex Challenger 3160 55t all terrain crane to their equipment fleet to significantly boost their productivity.

The Challenger is available in Australia from Terex Lifting Australia .

A small business based in regional NSW, Wilson Lift now has three Terex cranes in their lifting fleet, providing the company with a broad lifting capacity for a wider range of assignments.

Danny Wilson, owner of Wilson Lift explains that they lift roof trusses, wall frames for houses, swimming pools, machinery, and even boats in addition to a lot of manufacturing work, such as lifting machinery into processing plants.

Beginning with the Terex AC35 crane back in 2004, which can be set up anywhere and has wonderful manoeuvrability, the company subsequently added the Terex 15t Pick & Carry truck crane for smaller jobs. The latest addition, the Terex Challenger features a market-leading 50-metre single cylinder telescoping system. Only 2.55m wide, it is fully equipped and transportable within a 12t axle load.

Wilson Lift chose the Challenger primarily for the boom length since a lot of their work is on uphill sites, requiring the boom height. Danny prefers the Challenger to a truck crane option because of its all-terrain capability.

Featuring a powerful engine and all wheel steer, the Challenger is one of the strongest all terrain cranes in its capacity class, providing very short rigging time and a high performance reach.

Danny observes that people like to see quality equipment turn up to a job, and the company gets a lot of repeat business because clients know they have good gear.

Describing the Challenger as a great purchase, Danny concludes by saying that it has given them a lot more capacity to do different jobs, as well as getting the jobs done faster.
