Some of Australia’s largest builders have recently contracted Sync to manufacture 2,369 bathroom pods for various projects in New South Wales and Victoria.

Construction giant Watpac have engaged Sync to deliver 2,049 pods for the master-planned Ryde Gardens project in Sydney, NSW.  The major project developed by Country Garden and designed by architects Bates Smart will utilise 1,230 bathroom pods, and in a first for Sync, will also include 819 separate laundry pods.  By taking bathrooms and laundries off site the project team recognised that delivery of the extensive 3-tower project could be streamlined, fit-out cycles compressed and consistency of quality guaranteed.

Hansen Yuncken is another major builder to have secured 100 Sync hospital healthcare pods for the St John of God Berwick Hospital redevelopment in Victoria. This will be the second St John of God Hospital to implement Sync pods (Brookfield Multiplex also used Sync to build bathrooms for St John of God Midlands Hospital in Western Australia). Delivery of the high quality bathrooms will begin delivery to the Berwick site in late 2016, with the hospital due for completion in 2017.

Taylor Construction Group also contracted Sync for their latest aged care project for healthcare providers Bupa. The Bupa St Ives aged care development in New South Wales will use 98 pods across 2 different types.  Designed by DWP Suters, Bupa St Ives prioritizes quality and comfort; with individual Sync-built ensuites in each room that feature high-grade tiling, in-built shaving cabinets and Caroma toilets.

Grindley Constructions and Catholic Health Care will also use Sync on aged care facility in New South Wales.  The McQuoin Park retirement village redevelopment in Waitara is installing 122 Sync aged care pods across 4 different design variants which feature tiled walls, vinyl flooring and Caroma fittings.

These new projects come on the back of several completed pod projects that have been delivered around Australia this year across the aged-care, residential and hotel sectors, showcasing the design flexibility of Sync’s manufacturing system.

Highpoint Hurstville for Toga Group is a NSW project comprising 4 residential buildings. Builder/Developer Toga Group contracted Sync to deliver 710 luxury bathroom pods across 23 different design typologies.

Sage Hotel by Silver Needle Hospitality is another high quality project to open that has utilised Sync bathrooms in the construction. Builders Cooper and Oxley saw the benefits of streamlining the construction process by implementing 86 high quality pods featuring hygienic Kerlite tiling, which is exclusively available to Sync in Australia and perfect for high-volume hotel projects due to it’s large porcelain sheets which offer a premium aesthetic but require minimal joins and are easier to keep clean.
