The new nogging bracket system from Studco Building Systems ensures easy installation of timber noggings of virtually any shape or size into a steel stud wall.

In wall installation noggings serve two purposes:

  • The normal role of a nogging is to stop axial movement (twisting) of the studs during the installation process.
  • The other role is to provide a secure fixing point for furniture and fixtures in facilities such as hospitals, aged care accommodation and medical laboratories.
The popular Studco pre-punched nogging track stops axial movement of studs and this is already available from Studco.

Timber is commonly used to provide a fixing point as it distributes the load across a greater area and provides a large area for future fixing requirements. The new Studco nogging brackets provide a fast and easy method for intersecting the steel stud and the timber nogging.
