Stormtech is no stranger to the industry, specialising in linear drainage solutions since 1989. An Australian family business, Stormtech understand the needs of the common man – particularly where drainage is concerned.

"Not many people know this but the original shower grates were originally intended for wheelchair access clients," says Troy Creighton of Stormtech.

The company was started by John Creighton who was originally asked by an architect to help design a hobless shower for a wheelchair bound client wanting to shower without a carer.

This specialised need resulted in the first slimline linear drainage grate design in the market, complemented with an elegant finish and surface water removal efficiency. This innovation lead to a greater market demand around the world, pushing Stormtech to the number one spot as providers of architectural grates and drains across the country and internationally.

Grate versatility. Grate simplicity. Grate innovation.
Stormtech's slimline linear grates and drains are so versatile and stylish that it can be installed in various applications including residential projects, hospitals and aged care facilities and hospitality venues.

Speaking to Creighton at the designEX exhibition at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre this week, he gives an indication about a new product line that will "allow accessibility and help bring the outdoors in."

Stormtech was proud to showcase their range of architectural linear grates and drains at this year’s designEX exhibition. Stormtech stylish range of products are available in most plumbing product distributors nationwide.
