In an effort to support the professional development of young Australian architects, Stormtech is offering a 50% scholarship for a two-week residential 2012 Glenn Murcutt International Architecture Master Class this July.

Valued at $3,300, the sponsorship will be offered to an architect under 30. The winning applicant will participate in the two-week Master Class for architecture design, taking place at ‘Riversdale’, the Arthur and Yvonne Boyd Education Centre on the Shoalhaven River south of Sydney, and at the Carriageworks Centre for Contemporary Arts and Culture in Sydney from 8 July to 22 July 2012.

Since its inception in 2001, the 2012 Glenn Murcutt International Architecture Master Class program has attracted practicing architects, academics, graduates and some senior students from nearly 60 nations.

The Murcutt Master Class is a rare opportunity to find professional mentorship. Glenn Murcutt, Brit Andresen, Richard Leplastrier, Peter Stutchbury and Lindsay Johnston provide a rare glimpse into the meaning, power and necessity for architecture.

Last year, the company supported the participation of Victorian Indigenous Registered Architect Jefa Greenaway at the 2011 Murcutt Master Class.
