Stoddart Australia was engaged by Lend Lease to manufacture and install 19 sign blades as part of the enormous Darling Harbour Live redevelopment project this year.

Installed along the central boulevard between the International Convention and Exhibition centres, and the Tumbalong Park precinct, the sign blades, each measuring 7 metres tall and 2 metres wide, were randomly positioned for effect.

The sign blades house large LED display screens for wayfinding and entertainment, and feature a mirror finish designed to reflect the lights and built environment of the Harbour. The LED displays combine with the reflective mirror finish to deliver a stunning visual impact.

Design highlights of the sign blades include structural steel frame for mounting speakers, power outlets, and LED displays; and solid and perforated 316 stainless steel panels as cladding.

Stoddart has once again showcased their quality workmanship, attention to detail, and capacity for large-volume architectural metalwork in high profile settings.
