Adshel Infrastructure and Town and Park divisions acquired by Stoddart Australia

    Stoddart Australia

Stoddart Australia announces the acquisition of two business units from Adshel Street Furniture Pty. Ltd.

Stoddart Manufacturing has, in over 50 years of operation added several business units to their portfolio. Still in their first year at the new 25,000m² headquarters, Stoddart has once again increased their presence in the manufacturing industry with the latest acquisitions.

A specialist provider of outdoor structures designed to facilitate its outdoor advertising business, Adshel built up a sizeable business selling their products to customers throughout Australia and New Zealand. This business of supply and installation of outdoor structures to councils, transport authorities and major building projects became Adshel Infrastructure.

Adshel added Town & Park street furniture to its portfolio in 2008, specialising in outdoor seating, tables, and bin enclosures. Having decided in 2013 that the Infrastructure and Town & Park businesses were no longer core to its traditional media business, Adshel sought expressions of interest from parties interested in purchasing them.

Throughout the past 15 years, Stoddart Manufacturing has been a major supplier of fabricated metal products to Adshel's businesses and their integration into the Stoddart business is a natural progression. Stoddart's acquisition of Adshel Infrastructure and Town & Park was completed on 31st December 2013.

Adshel Infrastructure has been re-branded Stoddart Infrastructure, whereas Town & Park will continue to trade under its well-known brand name under new ownership.

Bill Stoddart, Managing Director at Stoddart Manufacturing describes the acquisition of the Infrastructure and Town & Park divisions as a natural fit, as the two businesses align well with their Architectural Metalwork and Plumbing fixtures businesses.

Staff from the two erstwhile Adshel businesses will continue to work in the new Stoddart entities, sharing their specialised skills and knowledge developed over many years within the company, and enhancing the joint capabilities to exciting new levels.
