Spantech designed, constructed and installed a new shade structure to provide cover to four existing concrete multipurpose courts at the Calvary Christian College in Carbrook, Queensland.
The internal ceiling height of the shade structure accommodates basketball games with line-marking also provided for netball, tennis and volleyball sports. The multipurpose structure includes a new covered grandstand overlooking the adjacent oval, providing seating for up to 800 students with wheelchair access to all areas.
The structure also includes a water harvesting and storage system to supply school amenities and automated sprinklers on the school oval.
