Smoke Control supplied and installed Stopline fire windows and fire rated glass doors at the offices of a major Australian retail company.
The director of the company required nine fire windows and two fire rated glass doors to be supplied and installed at their office as well as the adjacent office in a high rise building in Sydney. The fire windows also needed to let in natural light as they were going to be located on the external wall of the building.
Smoke Control supplied and installed nine Stopline 120 fire windows and two Stopline -/60/30 fire rated glass doors compliant with AS1530.4.
The fire windows were double glazed for energy efficiency with additional UV protection provided to the intumescent interlayers. The Smoke Control 120 fire rated glass in the UV resistant intumescent interlayer prevents the fire windows from turning milky in the Australian climate. This is a deemed-to-satisfy solution.
