Smeg Australia introduces a new range of double ovens to its classic range of stainless steel ovens.
The new DOSCA36X double ovens from kitchen appliances specialist Smeg feature sleek good looks and perfect proportions in addition to extra large capacity and feature-rich technology.
The capacity of the main oven in the DOSCA36X line is a huge 68 litres, a full 35% larger than conventional 60cm ovens and also combines five cooking functions. The second oven has a generous 33-litre capacity.
The five cooking functions in the main oven cater for every possible type of cuisine and include fan forced baking, full and half grill plus full and half fan grill. Other features include five cooking levels, an electronic programmer with minute minder as well as automatic start and end cooking.
The second oven has convection cooking, full and half grill plus the ECO baking function, which is perfect for energy saving slow cooking wherein dishes are cooked for longer at a slightly lower temperature.
The ECO mode limits the power supply to 2300 watts and uses both the floor and roof elements with fan to ensure uniform distribution of heat, which is ideal for all slow cooking.
A key advantage in Smeg’s double ovens is the added convenience of installation at ‘standing height’, eliminating the need to bend or stoop when accessing either oven.
Both ovens in Smeg’s new double ovens have ‘Cool Door Technology’, ‘Ever Clean’ easy clean enamel on all parts of the interior in addition to removable inner doors for convenient cleaning. Catalytic liners in the main oven deliver effortless oven cleaning without the use of chemicals.
The DOSCA36X stainless steel ovens feature a fingerprint-resistant stainless steel exterior with digital-analogic time display and a frameless design.
The frameless aesthetic means that the oven can be stacked with any of the Smeg Classic range of compact ovens including dedicated steam ovens, combination microwave and convection ovens or even coffee machines to create a fully customised seamless bank of cooking appliances.
