Rubber tiles from the Signature Flexo range were installed in the staff breakout area of Foxtel North Ryde, NSW to create a homely and relaxing area for their employees.
One of Australia’s progressive and dynamic media companies, the Foxtel Head Office and Television Centre at North Ryde houses their digital television studios, broadcast operations, and cable and satellite transmission facilities.
Realising the importance of creating a relaxing area for their employees, Foxtel North Ryde sought a modern, homely breakout area with a floor that matched the concept of colours from the old TV test pattern.
Key challenges for designer Ian Worthy of Thoughtspace were to match all the flooring to the same height; and ensure that colours matched exactly to the TV test pattern of warm vibrant blues and stark black. The brief also specified the need to be environmentally sensitive in the choice of products including using sustainable fabrics and products with recycled content.
Signature Floorconcepts was specified for the project for the product’s ability to match the colours required; the GreenTag Green Rate Certification level A; choice of available stock colours in the Signature Flexo rubber tiles range; and proven high quality.
Foxtel was delighted with the concept and happy with the outcome.
