Axminster carpets from Signature Floors were specified for the stylish Hilton South Wharf hotel in Melbourne.
Located in the heart of South Wharf – Melbourne's busy business and dining precinct – the hotel combines panoramic views of the city with convenient access to the city centre and is also fully integrated with the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
A design collaboration by Woods Bagot and NH Architecture (NWHB), this state-of-the-art hotel, dining and business complex features a custom range of Axminster carpets from Signature Floorconcepts.
The project brief sought a heavy plush lineal design for the reception and lower restaurant areas in custom eggplant, fuchsia and autumn colours. Though textured carpet was required at the concept stage, it was subsequently found unsuitable for the restaurant.
Signature carpets were selected primarily for being able to produce the closest colour match to the client’s requirement. Signature Floorconcepts also met both pricing and delivery time requirements.
