Carpet tiles from the Fashion Planks collection by Signature Floors were selected by BHO Interiors for the new retail store unveiled by Atwell Optometrists in Atwell, WA.
A newly established independent optometrist, Atwell Optometrists sought to create a comfortable and friendly environment for their staff and clients at their new store. The store was part of a contemporary strip of buildings with large light-filled, showroom-style retail spaces and consultation rooms nestled behind.
While the client wanted to use a broadloom carpet for the floor, the designers pointed out the benefits of carpet tiles, particularly the lifecycle benefits of carpet tiles as opposed to a broadloom carpet. The design brief aimed to create a modern, contemporary environment without the sterile look.
Project challenges included finding a carpet that was light in colour and still had a comfortable feel, a product that could stand up to traffic in a retail environment, and a design that mirrored the quality of their services and products.
BHO Interiors, which was engaged for the project, delivered a completely new look to complement the fashionable styles of the collections at Atwell Optometrists. Tweed and Bouclé from the Fashion Planks collection of carpet tiles by Signature Floors were installed in the retail store to create truly inspirational flooring designs.
