Trinidad Sunblades: For strength at wide spans

    Trinidad from Shutterflex

The Shutterflex, Trinidad is the architect’s choice for streamlined façade sun blades. The Trinidad offers rigidity over a wide span and can be interfaced into curtain wall and glazing systems.

The engineered solution of the joiner strip design is superior to any other system in the market and was invented by the Managing Director, Peter Ryan. The unique design allows for a façade to incorporate  multiple extrusions joined together, while retaining durability and structural strength. The joiner design allows for thermal expansion over varying lengths.

Installed horizontally, vertically or in a stepped design, the  Shutterflex Trinidad sun blade feature prominently on major projects , including, Parklands, Australian Catholic University and Aveo, Gasworks. The aesthetic achieved is one of sleek continuous lines with colour making the sun blades not only a functional sun shading solution but an outstanding visual feature of the overall building design.

Shutterflex is a proud Australian family business that prides itself on bespoke engineering solutions for aluminium façade and sun shading systems. Products are manufactured in our plant in Brisbane, Queensland and offer installations all over Australia and the South Pacific. Peter and his team work with architects to realise their design visions and resolve  engineering challenges through collaboration and innovation.
