ShapeShell FreeForm lived up to its name when used to create the Penrose façade installed on top of RMIT University in Melbourne.

Designed by ARM (Ashton Raggatt McDougall), the Penrose Facade on RMIT University is often referred to as ‘The Green Brain’, inspiring the students below to think innovatively.

There is no repetition of geometry anywhere on the façade, which has been achieved through the use of ShapeShell FreeForm, part of a range of advanced composites that allows complex shapes. Computer-cut accuracy allowed complete unitisation of the façade off-site, simplifying and speeding up the installation.
