Alpolic/fr aluminium composite panels from SGI Architectural were chosen
for the external facade of 8 Chifley Square in Sydney, NSW to enhance the
visual appeal of the office building.
A landmark structure at Chifley Square, the new tower is a striking,
premium grade office building with its expressive architecture combining
distinctive design, adaptable workspaces, green credentials, public space and
site-specific features to deliver an interactive and cutting-edge workplace for
the future. Designed by architects Lippmann/ Mirvac Design, the tower was built
by Mirvac Constructions. Brighton Australia was the fabricator on the job.
The premium office building has achieved a 6 Star Green Star Office
Design v2 Certified rating and is committed to achieving a 5 Star NABERS Energy
Alpolic/fr aluminium composite panels in Flemish Blue, Orange, Dark and
Medium Grey Metallic colours installed on the facade of the building not only
deliver a colourful and site-sensitive boost to the structure but also achieve connectivity
and vertical integration between the floors.
The Green Star rating of Alpolic/fr panels was a major factor in the
selection of the material, which also assisted in 8 Chifley Square becoming one
of the greenest buildings in Sydney.
Commenting on the choice of the Alpolic/fr material for the facade, Simon
Malam of Brighton Australia said that the brightness of Flemish Blue will ensure
a standout presence from the harbour while the depth of the Alpolic/fr Dark
Grey metallic colour will give strength to the building.
He adds that 8 Chifley Square with its Alpolic/fr facade can hold its
own in a landscape filled with several architectural landmarks.
