SBS Group fabricated a light gauge steel framing system for a new apartment project in Doncaster East, VIC. Designed by Bruce Henderson Architects and built by B Central Constructions, the Primrose 9 Apartments project is located at 9 Red Hill Terrace.
SBS Group supplied prefabricated top level wall and roof truss framing for the seven-floor project.
The builder benefitted immensely while working with SBS Group’s light gauge steel framing system. Careful attention to detail during the design phase enabled immediate, easy and streamlined installation. Since steel does not rot, twist, warp or shrink, there was no need to straighten walls. The steel frames were fabricated to exact site specifications, reducing onsite adjustments as well as material waste both in the factory and at the site.
SBS Group was responsible for the full design, shop detailing, engineering and fabrication of the steel framing, eliminating the need to work with multiple trades.
The framing system was manufactured using TRUECORE steel made by Bluescope to strict tolerances and fully compliant with all relevant Australian standards.
SBS Group supplied a total of 9200.46 L/M of steel for the project.
