KOMBI elevated platform systems from Sayfa Group were installed on uneven ground during the redevelopment of the Wangaratta Saleyards in Wangaratta, VIC.

The second largest cattle sale facility in Victoria’s northeast, the Wangaratta Saleyards host 65 sales annually with a throughput of about 50,000 cattle. The redevelopment project included new roofing, soft flooring, lighting, stormwater draining and a new auctioneer’s walkway.

The installation of the access systems needed to be carried out with minimal disruption to business operations. The uneven ground levels meant that systems would require adjustments on-site. Components also needed to allow streamlined integration to the current existing steelworks.

The installation was carried out by Anchor Safe over three stages, with each stage fully completed before commencement of the next to minimise disturbance to operations.

The modular design of KOMBI elevated platform systems allowed individual components to be assembled as standalone platforms. No hot works permits were required, which may have affected project progress, as KOMBI systems could be configured, installed and adjusted on-site without the need for welding.
