SAS International is setting new aesthetic standards with the launch of a new open cell ceiling system.

Representing an aesthetic development of the well-established Trucell System, SAS International’s new System 810 Tricell offers specifiers an alternate cell pattern for an impactful, unbroken and monolithic appearance.

Recommended for public spaces such as airports, shopping centres, leisure facilities and commercial offices, the System 810 Tricell open cell ceiling design facilitates easy airflow management and rapid smoke extraction, both crucial requirements in high traffic areas.

System 810 Tricell comprises of a series of open cell triangular aluminium modules designed to lay onto a 15mm Tee suspension grid. Lightweight and simple to install, the ceiling tiles can easily integrate within other metal ceiling systems and plasterboard ceilings.

Featuring turned-out edges that lay onto the flanges of the exposed grid system, the Tricell modules form a parallelogram measuring 876mm x 876mm, offset at a 60-degree angle. Depending on the project, the specification of the Tricell system can be altered to meet specific building requirements.

Key advantages of the new System 810 Tricell open cell ceiling system include minimum life expectancy of 25 years; access to the ceiling void enabled by lifting the panels out of the grid, allowing for ease of maintenance; and ability to accommodate decorative lighting and LED fixtures within single or multiple adjacent cells, as well as fire detection, control systems, air conditioning and other services within the ceiling void.
