Award-winning architect Phil Harris from Troppo specified louvre windows from Safetyline Jalousie for a new house located at Wategos Beach in Byron Bay, NSW to meet the requirements of the design brief.

Engaged by the owners to design a home that had an open layout, invited the outdoors in, provided deep protection from the sun and also created outdoor spaces open to rainforest, beach and sky views, Phil was confident Safetyline Jalousie louvre windows would create the desired ventilation and ambience for this home.

Having used Safetyline Jalousie louvre windows in other projects, Phil was aware of the solidness of the louvre profiles with the horizontal lines creating a feeling of strength, security and protection yet maintaining elegance in design.

Phil Harris said, “Safetyline Jalousie louvre windows make a strong statement about being a louvre, more so than louvres with a centre pivot. They are a bolder form of louvre and I think they are pretty cool.”
