Fall protection equipment specialist 3M introduces a new range of ladder levelling and stabilising devices designed to provide high levels of safety on portable ladders.
Manufactured by Rojak Design and available from 3M, the ladder levelling and stabilising devices ensure fall protection and height safety to workers on portable ladders by converting them into a safer work and access system.
The ladder levelling and stabilising devices range includes the Stopper, the Leveller and the Spyder.
The anti slip ladder stabilisers consist of a high quality aluminium T-piece bonded to a covering of vulcanised rubber, and prevent ladders from flipping or the stiles from rotating.
Used as a permanent or temporary device, the Leveller fits to the bottom of the ladder as a stabiliser allowing it to be levelled on hills and slopes.
The top ladder stabiliser/work station can be fitted securely to any industrial ladder offering safer access and egress to flat and pitched roof surfaces, stability when working on inward and outward facing corners, safe working at arm’s length reducing the risk of falling backwards, and prevention of contact with fragile surfaces such as gutters and downpipes.
Greg Peterson, Engineered Systems Support Manager with 3M Australia & New Zealand explains that working with portable ladders, particularly where connecting to a fixed anchorage point or engineered system is not possible is a highly dangerous yet at times unavoidable work practice.
The ladder stability and levelling devices allow users to work safely on ladders at height without fear of their ladder flipping, slipping or falling off makeshift levelling props.
3M is a world-leading designer and manufacturer of height safety, confined space and industrial rescue equipment.
