Manufacturing rust preventative coatings for more than 80 years, Rust-Oleum products include consumer and industrial small project paints, undercoats and speciality coatings.
The Melbourne-based HiChem Paint Technologies manufactures high tech protective coatings, broadly catering to the market segments of automotive after care and refinish as well as industrial coatings and maintenance coatings.
HiChem will continue to operate as a standalone business under the direction of former owner Ivan Moldovan with no change in terms of sales contacts and processes.
According to John Simons, Director of International Sales for Rust-Oleum Corporation, the strengths of Rust-Oleum are well suited to accelerate the historical growth of the Motospray and HiChem brands. The company aims to offer their customers additional products and service to increase sales and profits for all parties.
