Ash Grey brick tiles from Robertson's Building Products Pty Ltd were among a range of products used in the renovation of The Corner Hotel in Richmond to help retain the iconic building’s original character.

Located on Swan Street, Richmond, The Corner Hotel is a much-loved destination for music, food and beer lovers alike. Nothing has really changed at The Corner Hotel even after the renovation, except for the stylish and thoughtful design that recalls its past as well as a multitude of new spaces for patrons to enjoy.

Designed by Therefore Studio, the renovated hotel features a new indoor dining area, a classic outdoor courtyard, rooftop bar and private function spaces. Providing a welcome refresh for their regular patrons ranging from locals to large crowds attending nearby sporting matches or live music events, the functional design encompassing indoor and outdoor areas, smoking and non-smoking spaces, stools and seats, air conditioning for the hotter months, and a heated outdoor deck for winter, suits all needs and seasons.

While drawing heavily on the existing building and the surrounding outlook of Richmond’s train lines and industrial precinct, Therefore Studio has also successfully tied the design in with the original features of the popular venue. This design outcome has been achieved through careful selection of materials featuring natural finishes, including timber, polished concrete and terracotta, as well as Ash Grey brick tiles for the floor.

Supplied by Robertson’s Building Products, the thin brick tiles provide a versatile flooring solution, perfectly complementing the design palette.
