Melbourne builder Trevor Hoyle chose Kurrajong bricks from Robertson's Building Products Pty Ltd to add character to his family’s dream home. Having seen many housing designs come to life throughout his career, Trevor sought a distinctive style and design when it came to building his own home.

Trevor’s dream home was designed by Caroline Vernon of CVA Architects in Kew, who created a clever masterpiece with two houses adjacent to one another on the same block, cleverly optimising the use of space. The complex building design covered three floors (including a basement car park complete with internal lift) and was executed by Trevor himself.

Throughout his professional career as a builder, Trevor had seen a broad variety of bricks. However, he wanted something special for his own home that would not only add character but also visual appeal. He was very clear about his choice of bricks for the external walls and fencing to suit the intricate design, selecting Kurrajong bricks from Robertson's Building Products.

The Kurrajong 50mm specially made bricks were the perfect fit for his home, not only because they suited the style of the building but also for their different texture and size, helping to set his home apart in the neighbourhood.
