Lismore City Council’s Goonellabah Sports and Aquatic Centre is the latest building that has been fitted with Rephouse ’s recycled rubber flooring. The centre was designed by Sydney architect Facility Design Group and constructed by Spantec Builders, and features more than 2000 square metres of Decoflex Universal and 1500m² of Neoflex 600 Series rubber flooring.

Decoflex Universal rubber flooring is a cushioned, indoor, polyurethane floor designed for high performance in areas where sports are played. It absorbs sound and features a 100% recycled base mat that can be supplied in different thicknesses depending on individual requirements.

Rephouse have established a reputation as a specialist provider of rubber sports flooring for many commercial applications. Past projects included the 2004 Olympics, the Pro-Badmington Centre in Malaysia and the Hong Kong Football Club.

Managing Director of Rephouse, Tony Newton, said that it is important that the quality of flooring products in sports and aquatic facilities is high. Rephouse rubber flooring is free from hazardous Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC), which makes them a safe choice for use in commercial and sports settings.

A fundamental concern in the design of rubber flooring for the sports industry is environmental sustainability.
