The Jan Juc autonomous house was sighted where a gum tree had blown over to reveal access to sunlight in an otherwise dense and dark canopy. This helped to minimise site disturbance.
Radial Sawn cladding in 'Natural Edge Weatherboards' and 'Board and Batten' from Radial Timber Sales were specified in Silvertop Ash due to their maximum recovery of timber from logs, and approval for building in bushfire areas.
