Enclosure systems from Promat Australia Pty Ltd were specified by the project architect for the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre (VCCC) in Melbourne, Australia. A new billion-dollar purpose-built facility dedicated to cancer research, treatment and care, the VCCC is located in Parkville, Victoria, about 3km north of Melbourne’s city centre.

Built over 13 levels, the 120,000m² VCCC includes two sky bridge links to the nearby Royal Melbourne Hospital.

Enclosure systems from Promat, designed for easy installation were specified by the architect with minimal spatial intrusions while also creating optimum headroom wherever possible.

PROMATECT-L500 E&M enclosures were found to best fulfil the specific requirements of the application, which sought to protect high voltage cables on cable trays attached to the underside of the concrete slab.

Promat supplied over 500m² of PROMATECT-L500 as 2, 3 and 4-sided general E&M service enclosures, which were installed by Arc Plaster and Design Inc Architects.
