Projex Group used the Wolfin waterproofing system to successfully resolve an ongoing water leakage problem at a luxury residential apartment complex located on the Great Ocean Road in Lorne, Victoria.

The residential building apartment faced a leakage problem from the time of completion of construction due to poor waterproofing detailing and installation. The leakage caused water ingress from the terraces and balconies of the penthouse units into the units below.

Wolfin GWSK waterproofing membrane was chosen to rectify these problems due to its proven track record and success in similar rectification works. Wolfin GWSK is bonded to the deck to eliminate water tracking in the event of accidental puncture.

Due to the close proximity of the building to the ocean, the Wolfin membrane was terminated using 316L stainless steel profiles. Galvanised Wolfin steel angles are used in non-corrosive environments.

Flex-a-Seal, a trained and licensed Wolfin applicator successfully completed the remedial waterproofing project at the apartments. The waterproofing membrane installation was co-ordinated over a few weeks as doors and windows had to be removed at different stages to minimise exposure to the elements.

Wolfin GWSK waterproofing membrane has been installed in similar remedial jobs for over 25 years to rectify failed membranes and also has a proven track history of performance in aggressive environments.

Projex Group offers a single point warranty on both labour and material for the Wolfin system. National Sales Manager Nick Pearson comments that with Projex, the customer will never experience the common scenario where the membrane supplier will fight over the responsibilities of the warranty with his applicator.

Apart from being used successfully in several projects for rectifying failed membranes, Wolfin has also been used extensively in new projects to get the waterproofing right the first time, avoiding costly repairs and inconveniences caused by failed membranes or poor waterproofing installations.
