Preston Group  recently supplied an overhead scaffold support system to Watpac on the upper levels of the One Central Park development in Central Park, Sydney.

Spectacularly located downtown at the southern edge of the Sydney CBD, Central Park is a $2 billion urban village with a beautiful, spacious park at its heart.

Watpac sought a ready-made system capable of delivering an outcome that was safe, less expensive and could be installed and dismantled quickly, as an alternative to a costly engineered cantilevered steel structured solution.

Preston provided an overhead scaffold support system comprising of the cantilevered Superdeck loading platforms stacked side by side to form large decks. Preston Super barrier fencing was used to provide protection to any live edge exposure.

Steve Bowden, Preston Operations Coordinator explained that the Preston loading platform system provided an ‘off-the-shelf solution which allowed for the client to complete their construction works efficiently and at a fraction of the cost that would have been incurred otherwise’.

Watpac representatives have expressed their satisfaction with Preston’s problem-solving skills in modifying the use of their loading platforms and barrier fencing products to fit the company’s specific requirement for a scaffolding support system.
