Projections by Hyundai Construction Equipment Australia reveal that Western Australia’s commercial, residential and mining markets are booming.

Hyundai CE has now opened a new facility in Perth to provide operators with access to the latest range of skid steers, excavators and wheel loaders along with ongoing sales and after sales service and parts.

David Evans, Hyundai CE Regional Sales Manager for Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory explains that Western Australia leads the market in its sales of Hyundai CE wheel loaders and excavators with 20% of all wheel loaders delivered nationally sold to Western Australia based operators.

Given that operators consider Hyundai CE’s range to be competitively priced, fuel efficient and technologically advanced, the company anticipates sales to increase further in the next two to three years.

The new facility has been set up following the decision by former Hyundai CE dealership, Earthwest to exit the industry in December last year.

According to David, Earthwest’s exit provided the perfect opportunity for Hyundai CE to set up a company-owned dealership and invest significantly in creating an exceptional level of service for their customers in WA. With a larger sales force, a dramatic increase in the spare parts holding and an increased fleet of mobile service technicians, the new dealership is well prepared to meet demand fuelled by the predicted market growth.

In addition to stocking five times the amount of spare parts held by the former dealership, minimising unnecessary downtime for customers, the new, refurbished facility will ensure delivery for unavailable parts through their overnight service. Mobile support for operators in rural and remote regions will be delivered by a team of three service technicians.

The new servicing department is equipped with an overhead crane to save time in removing engines from large loaders as well as three additional experienced service technicians to ensure faster service. The new Perth facility also includes a team of five sales personnel including a sales manager, three territory managers servicing the mining division and a dedicated mini-utility territory manager.
