Queensland-based law firm Acacia Law recently approached Portable Partitions Australia (PPA) seeking semi-permanent solutions for adding additional meeting rooms within their new office premises.

Many companies moving into new office premises are under pressure to ensure they are fully utilising all available floor space. It is difficult to fully visualise how a new office layout will look and work until the staff has actually moved in; many companies often find that the initial floor plan may have worked fine on paper, but does not necessarily translate as well in reality.

Easy adaptability of space is therefore critical for an office to meet unplanned requirements such as an extra meeting room, training space or breakout area. Incorporating these requirements later can create major headaches and comes at great cost to the company.

Companies can maximise the use of their existing office space to meet new requirements using portable partitions.

As the market-leading supplier of portable room dividers and mobile partitions, Portable Partitions Australia’s advice was sought by Acacia Law in Redbank (QLD) with the client’s brief specifying an office partitioning system that would allow for the available working space to expand or shrink as required cost-effectively, without the expense and disruption of permanent building works.

The client selected a combination of acoustic polycarbonate and fabric finishes in their multiple room dividers. The StraightWall sliding acoustic portable room divider was used to ensure penetration of natural light through the dividers, while still maintaining privacy.

Made from an acoustic fluted polycarbonate finish for noise dampening purposes, the partition is ideal for separating spaces for multiple functions. Being lightweight in construction, the partitions can be easily folded, moved and stored away when not in use.

Acacia Law has three different partition units available at any one time to allow an almost limitless choice of room configurations to be created, ensuring maximum utilisation of every available square foot of space.

Mark Warburton, Partner at Acacia Law commented that they were keen on maximising the flexibility of their new office space and therefore, worked with PPA to ensure the correct combination of mobile room dividers was selected to meet their specific requirements for a dynamic workspace.
