Leading supplier of portable room dividers and mobile partitions, Portable Partitions Australia (PPA) supplied their portable privacy screens to a Perth school for displaying student artwork.

Portable privacy screens are typically used in schools to create smaller spaces within existing classrooms. Beldon Primary School in Perth (WA) decided to employ their privacy screens in a more creative manner by using them to showcase artwork by their students throughout the school as well as on special occasions such as art shows and parent evenings.

The school’s brief was to ensure the privacy screens could accept pins and tacks so artwork could be easily put up for display. The client also sought to have a lightweight solution that could be easily moved around the school by one person.

Portable Partitions Australia recommended their Afford-A-Wall portable privacy screens as a simple and highly cost-effective solution to their requirement. Made from an acoustic honeycomb board with a fabric finish that can be pinned and tacked on, the privacy screen is also lightweight and easy to transport. Designed as a 3-panel unit, the privacy screen comes on wheels and is easy to fold, move and store when not in use.

According to Tracie Lavers, Library Officer from Beldon Primary School, the portable privacy screens will be used to display students’ artwork for the school’s annual art exhibition as well as during regular assemblies where children’s school work as well as displays for their Learning Journeys will be put up for their parents to view. She added that the school was happy with the portable privacy screens, and they plan to utilise the units’ flexibility in many other applications.
