Leading Australasian supplier of timber mouldings, Porta Mouldings announces the launch of a new range of coloured and embossed MDF boards suitable for diverse interior design projects.
Porta’s new coloured MDF product, Forescolor is available in a range of solid colours, with options including plain and embossed surfaces.
Now available in Australia, Forescolor is an engineered coloured board that has organic pigment integrated directly into its wood fibres, resulting in consistent colour distribution throughout the board. This manufacturing process not only enhances its durability but also helps retain its appearance in tough environments where laminates and painted surfaces show scratches and chips.
Recommended as the ideal material for applications as diverse as shop and office fitouts, hotels and restaurants, furniture production, amenities partitions, wall panels and acoustic panels, Forescolor suits any interior design concept where the vibrant colours, textures and depth will create a unique visual statement.
Key features and benefits of Forescolor coloured MDF boards include non-toxic material with low emissions (E0), suitable for furniture, toys and childcare applications; smooth machining allowed in three dimensions, providing crisp edges on machined profiles with no feathering or chipping; and excellent colour stability with UV and artificial light resistance retaining the brilliant colours longer.
Benefits also include hardness and durability, ideal for high traffic areas or where veneered boards may show wear and tear; easy maintenance with small damaged areas repaired by sanding; moisture and fire resistance to EU standards; fire-retardant and 100% formaldehyde-free boards available on request; increased moisture stability in humid environments; greater internal cohesion and mechanical strength; and high resistance to bending under load.
