PictureStore , an online print and poster supplier has a new improved website which provides users with faster searches of the 160,000 art product database, an easy to use layout and the ability to browse by over 300 subjects and over 100 styles of art.
The PictureStore website has had minor improvements over the past six years of operation, such as the addition of online framing and the easy to use three step checkout process, but the launch of the new look PictureStore website is the most significant upgrade of the site to date.
Major development re-work was carried out at a code level. The site is now utilising the latest .NET enhancements. This combined with a major upgrade in hardware infrastructure and database tuning has significantly improved performance levels and traffic scalability. “All of this investment has been focused around improving the customer experience and ensuring that we have a strong core base for future planned site enhancements,” Claudio Salinas, IT Manager says. “Our benchmark testing has demonstrated performance increases of up to 300%.”
