Bricks from PGH Bricks & Pavers were personally selected by the developer of a new over 50s development located in the hinterland of Queensland's Gold Coast.

The recently completed Capo Di Monte Mature Age Lifestyle Village is located in the Tambourine Mountain and is Queensland’s most sustainable lifestyle village for the over 50s. The 4.3-hectare former avocado farm site consists of 46 individual homes in two and three bedroom layouts. A large two-level community centre at the village has a commercial kitchen, lounge and sunroom on the upper level, while the lower level incorporates a 15-metre heated pool, spa, sauna, massage rooms and a gymnasium.

Capo Di Monte developer, Frank Francis hand selected all the building materials used in the project, seeking sustainability and classic design as key attributes in each product.

Being an ex-bricklayer, Mr Francis had a thorough knowledge of bricks and was looking for a sustainable brick product that would fit the design specifications of a timeless heritage look. PGH’s Henna range was chosen for the job with about 336,000 bricks used in the Capo Di Monte development.

Mr Francis commented that he found the classic look in PGH’s Henna range, with the premium red brick delivering a timeless, old-brick appeal, and providing a striking contrast to the green plants in the garden.

Mr Francis also selected PGH Black and Tan pavers for use on the residential driveways and various internal roads.
