A new ceiling fan from Hunter Fan Company is turning heads with its innovative ‘close to ceiling’ design, and convenient reversible blades. In today’s homes and apartments, where ceiling heights of 2.4m are largely standard, installing a ceiling fan used to be difficult.

The Low Profile III from Hunter is close to the ceiling, only 198mm from the ceiling to the bottom of the blades, which means that even on 2.4m ceilings, the ceiling fan is well out of reach and harms way, particularly in children’s bedrooms, while still providing all the air movement and energy saving benefits of a traditional ceiling fan.

Coupled with the low profile design, this fan comes with two sets of blades, 112cm (44”) and 132cm (52”), meaning that the Low Profile III is suitable for all room sizes, from bedrooms to lounge rooms.

Both sets of blades are also reversible, and the customer can select the colour of blades which best suits the decor. The Brushed Nickel fan includes Chocolate blades with Maple on the reverse side, while the White model includes White blades with Maple on the reverse side.

The Low Profile III is fitted with pull chain for operation of the fan, though it can be connected to wall controls or remote controls if required, and the Low Profile II can also be fitted with optional light kits.

Additionally, this fan is fitted with a ‘summer/winter’ switch, which allows the fan to be operated in reverse through the winter months, which recirculates the hot air trapped at the ceiling, to provide a more even, comfortable temperature, and also reduces winter heating costs.
