TICELL-N, a metal open-cell ceiling from durlum was specified for the head office of pharmaceutical giant, Novartis to co-ordinate perfectly with the building’s visual concept.

Centrally located in the town of Rueil-Malmaison, about 14 kilometres west of Paris, the Novartis head office is a multi-storey building of substantial proportions. The building reflects both aesthetic and ecological considerations in equal measure. The ceiling solution supplied by durlum coordinated perfectly with this concept.

Completed in 2019, the building features the TICELL-N metal open-cell ceiling in the entrance area, the lounge, workspaces, cafeteria and company restaurant, creating a unique and fascinating visual impression across the interior spaces.

Appearing to be plaited or braided, the single-blade grid pattern creates a modern and completely open atmosphere in different spaces within this building. The ratio of cell dimension (33mm) to cell height (40mm) enables light to permeate this space to optimum effect, greatly enhancing the airy and light character of this newly constructed building.
