Sustainability and good design were the guiding principles for the interiors of Dutch company elho’s new administrative office building in Tilburg, Netherlands.

elho, a market leading manufacturer of plant pots, has been pursuing the objective of incorporating the natural world into everyday life in a sustainable and design oriented manner for over 55 years.

Designed by Space Encounters/Office for Architecture, the new office features a ceiling solution from durlum in the entrance area, meeting and training rooms, and the restaurant.

POLYLAM vertical baffles are arranged on the ceiling in various directions to create a geometrically stimulating atmosphere. Powdercoated in grey and white, the baffles work in conjunction with the modern interiors to create a motivating and spacious sense of space, complemented by a large number of plants. The big gaps between the baffles reinforce the open character and the ceiling void also provides enough space to accommodate the installation of technical equipment.

Completed in August 2019, the design outcome certainly provides for a great visual experience.
