Luxury vinyl planks from the Revolution collection by National Flooring Distributors were selected for installation at the Fortitude Music Hall in Fortitude Valley, Queensland.

Regarded as the largest ballroom/ theatre style venue in Australia, Fortitude Music Hall is designed to seat 1,100 people with standing room capacity for another 3,000. The Music Hall’s design is inspired by some of the world’s most loved live music venues, and also pays homage to iconic venues from Brisbane’s past.

National Flooring Distributors (NFD) worked with the architecture firm, Arkhefield to supply 750 square metres of Stringy Bark flooring from their LVT Revolution collection. NFD’s Revolution luxury vinyl planks met the required P4 slip rating for the flooring thanks to a unique process during the final stages of production when a high definition BP emboss finish is applied.

Revolution is recommended for hospitality projects as the flooring is designed for high foot traffic and has excellent impact resistance. Key advantages also include a polyurethane/UV surface treatment allowing easy cleaning and maintenance while retaining appeal for a long time; GreenTag Gold Level A rate certification; 100% recyclability; and FloorScore certification confirming its acceptability as an environmentally responsible commercial flooring option.

The flooring installation was completed by Carpet Contractors in July 2019.

Emma Cecchin from Arkhefield said, “Revolution luxury vinyl plank was chosen for the main hall at the Fortitude Music Hall in the colour Stringy Bark. In a dark music performance environment, the warmth of the stringy bark gives the space a lift. The product performs to the required durability and slip-resistance, and accommodates to soften the sounds of footfall whilst maintaining the distinct variation and look of timber flooring.”
