Manufactured by MakMax , the tension membrane structure at the Gold Coast Convention Centre covers a 354m walkway between Jupiters Casino the convention centre.
The tension membrane structure was manufactured in 26 separate pieces. All 26 separate membranes had to be fabricated before the bridge was built due to constraints on time. The tension membrane sections were finished and ready to be installed as soon as the first rafters were constructed and only negligible adjustments were required.
20 sunshades made using 900sqm of PTFE fibreglass fabric were also manufactured for the project. Each sunshade averaged 3.5 x 8m.
