The stones have a naturally low porosity which makes it resistant to chemical attack, and also prevents scratching and stains. Quality control measures are in place, as well as unique manufacturing techniques to ensure there is a consistent quality.
Essastone does not require sealing or special cleaning products making it incredibly low maintenance. While the engineered stones are not suitable for outdoor applications where they are in direct sunlight and can fade, they are ideal for a number of other applications including:
