Kohler’s Artist Editions collection: beauty in the bathroom

Kohler’s Artist Editions designs are inspired by a wealth of different cultures, countries and artistic traditions.

Functional works of art, Artist Editions basins go beyond beautiful design. Handcrafted from the finest materials to be one of a kind, these basins are as individual as each client andproject. These decorative basins are crafted by skilled artisans in the Kohler studio in Wisconsin, using methods that have been passed down for generations.

The Nature’s Chemistry range is also incorporated into the Artist Edition Collection.  An organic, essential beauty is at the heart of Nature’s Chemistry products with designs honouring the integrity of natural materials – glass, bronze and marble – and accentuating their inherent elegance.

    DERRING WADING POOL BASIN

Hand-made and featuring a rarely used rutile mineral glaze the Derring Wading Pool self-rimming basin is a study in textural beauty that cleverly combines glaze and pattern to create a palette of ever changing, light reflective neutral tones.

A highly functional basin that is both easy to care for and durable, the Derring features a hand-applied mineral glaze over a carved textural pattern. The hand-made process and natural glaze variations make each piece totally unique.

    BRIOLETTE FACETED GLASS VESSEL BASIN

From its roots in ancient India to its discovery by European royals, the briolette – an oval or pear-shaped gemstone cut in triangular facets – remains one of the most distinctive gemstone cuts. Its popularity re-emerged during the Victorian era and the Art Deco period and today the Briolette Vessel builds on the tradition. With its uniquely faceted shape, Briolette creates a striking, reflective effect with delicately textured glass. Available in four colour ways, the Briolette will be the highlight of any bathroom.

    BOTTICELLI MARBLE VESSEL BASIN

Creating an artistic presence in the bathroom, the Botticelli - named after the Florentine renaissance artist - is hand-formed from a single piece of Carrara marble – so no two basins are exactly the same.

The finely honed Carrara marble is utterly smooth to the touch – no ridges, indentations or blemishes.  It really is a work of art in its own right.
