USG Boral introduces a new range of multi-attribute plasterboards
designed to suit specific applications.
USG Boral is a joint venture between USG Corporation and Boral Gypsum with
operations in Asia, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East. The
collaboration has helped introduce new, world-leading plasterboards, ceilings
and related products into these markets.
USG Boral’s new Multistop multi-attribute plasterboards allow designers
and architects to choose specific solutions for their applications. The Multistop
range offers multiple attributes such as mould resistance, water resistance,
fire resistance, impact resistance and sound dampening. Depending on the
requirement in the application, the specific Multistop plasterboard with the
desired attribute or combination of attributes can be selected for the
commercial project.
The Multistop range
Multistop 3 is particularly suited to reception areas and libraries, as
it offers resistance to fire, impact and sound transfer.
Multistop 3HI (high impact) is recommended for very high foot traffic
areas or areas subject to frequent bumps, including corridors and gymnasiums.
Multistop 4, with its excellent water-resistance properties is ideal for
change rooms.
Multistop 4 HI (high impact) meets higher impact resistance requirements
such as in commercial kitchens.
Multistop 5 is designed for areas that require mould prevention, such as
in bathrooms.
Multistop 5HI (high impact) is suitable for areas subject to greater
traffic and impact levels including hospital wards and corridors.
