Electric-powered misting fans hired from Kennards Hire created a cool mist to provide comfort in very hot weather for patrons at a riverside restaurant and function centre.
The misting fans were hired from Kennards Rydalmere for the Port Bar in Parramatta, adjoining the River Cat wharf.
Misting fans are designed to convert water from an in-built, 36-litre tank into mist with a throw of about three metres; the cool air is projected even farther to reduce the overall temperature in the area.
Anna Panton, the Port Bar manager says that the misting fans are ideal for open plan, covered function areas.
In addition to being a novelty, the misting fans also help to cool down the guests, she added.
