Kennards Hire has the biggest branch network of any equipment hire company in Perth, following the opening of three new outlets.

Six years after moving into Perth with three branches, the fully Australian, family-owned company now operates nine equipment hire centres.

The expansion results from the establishment in August of a new equipment hire centre at Rockingham, followed by the acquisition in November of the business of Workforce Equipment Hire, which operated in Fremantle, Mandurah and Midland.

Kennards moved into Fremantle and Mandurah, and merged the Midland operation with its existing branch in the same suburb.

Managing director, Peter Lancken said the extensive branch network was a big advantage.

“Contractors know they can access the same high quality equipment and service, wherever they are working,” he said.

Kennards Hire now has 92 locations across Australia, of which nine were added in the second half of 2006.

Other new outlets include Noosaville and Cleveland in Queensland; Coffs Harbour, Dapto and Corrimal in NSW; and Geelong in Victoria.

In addition, existing equipment hire branches have moved to new, better locations in Indooroopilly in Queensland and Hoxton Park in NSW.

Lancken attributed the growth to Kennards’ strong commitment to quality in all aspects of operations.

“We have processes, which have been developed over a long period, to ensure customers are provided with good quality, reliable equipment and outstanding service,” he said.
